There are also LiteraryGenres such as Satire http://dbpedia.org/page/Satire which is currently marked up as a MusicGenre, but is primarily a literary genre.
How does one go about adding a subclass?
I, for one, would create a subclass LiteraryGenre. Next, you could then add subclasses for Sarire, Novels etc.

Please take a look here Ontology_Editing. When creating the OntologyPage for LiteraryGenre, please remember to set the rdfs:subClassOf property to "Genre"
