Revision as of 23:02, 5 October 2010
The {{ObjectProperty}} template can be used to define ontology object properties.
Usage
{{ObjectProperty
| rdfs:label =
| rdfs:comment =
| rdfs:domain =
| rdfs:range =
}}
Meanings
- rdfs:label: should be defined to provide a human-readable version of a property's name.
- rdfs:comment: should be defined to provide a human-readable description of a property.
- rdfs:domain: is used to state that any resource that has a given property is an instance of the stated class. If left empty, owl:Thing is assumed.
- rdfs:range: is used to state that the values of a property are instances of the stated class. If left empty, owl:Thing is assumed.
Example
The definition of the DBpedia ontology property doctoralAdvisor:
{{ObjectProperty
| rdfs:label = doctoral advisor
| rdfs:comment =
| rdfs:domain = Scientist
| rdfs:range = Person
}}
This is the definition of an ontology property.
